The jury of the 30th edition has delivered its verdict
MontPhoto 2026

Thirty years looking at the world through a lens. Thirty editions celebrating nature photography in its most honest, most committed, most powerful form. And today, the 30th edition of MontPhoto has its verdict — though the winners will not be revealed until the Gala on 2 October.

After weeks of deliberation, the jury of this remarkable edition — composed of Melissa Groo, Marco Colombo, Francesca Page, Dhritiman Mukherjee and Ofelia de Pablo — has concluded a process as demanding as it was captivating. Several rounds of online selection and a final working session marked by debate, emotion, and rigorous judgment at the level of the best work in the international arena.

The result: a selection of images and projects that will form the MontPhoto 2026 exhibition, representing the very best of nature photography from around the world. In each individual category, first and second prizes have been awarded, along with five honourable mentions. In the collection categories, the jury has chosen the winners of Portfolio and Storytelling, with three honourable mentions in each. And as always, the MontPhoto Prize — the Grand Award of this 30th edition — demanded the most intense reflection and the most hard-won consensus.

In October we will discover it all. But the road to the gala has already begun: the galleries of nominated images for each category are now available. Explore them, pick your favourites, and share them — these images deserve to reach the whole world.

On 2 October, at the MontPhoto FEST Awards Ceremony at the Teatre de Lloret de Mar, all category winners and the Grand Award of this 30th edition will be revealed.

Nominees List — MontPhoto 2026

64 authors who will receive the full range of MontPhoto's awards and recognitions: individual prizes, honourable mentions, youth prizes, special prizes, best-ranked member prizes, collections, and the MontPhoto Prize 2026. Their names are here — even if some of their work does not appear in the category galleries, every one of them will be at the gala. The organisation will ensure that every award recipient can be present in Lloret on the night of the awards ceremony. 30 years of history. One single night to discover it all.
